Trinity CE/Methodist Primary School is a Christian school with strong links to both the Methodist church and the Church of England.  In this, we have the Christian faith at the heart of our school, and we welcome the families of all faiths in our local community to experience life in all its fullness (John 10:10).

Our vision is at the heart of all that we do, enabling all children to understand and experience what Jesus meant when it says that he came so that we could have life in all its fullness.  We have a friendly and welcoming school community, focused on learning and opportunity, nurturing, supportive and aims high for all children and families.  As a caring Christian community, we aim to enable pupils and staff to live their lives to the full and transform society for the better. 

At Trinity, we enjoy being able to work in close partnership with local churches in order to serve our school community more thoroughly.  We work in close partnership with Deacon Ellen Monk Winstanley, Leyland Methodist Circuit, Rev Ian Sarginson and Rachel Harris from Buckshaw Village Church, and Rev Helen Millward from the Chorley Methodist Circuit.  Additionally, we have a strong partnership and enjoy being able to work with Rev Phil Gough and Bishop Phil.  

As both a Church of England and Methodist Primary School, we work within both visions for education to deliver a distinctly Christian education filled with Jesus’ promise of ‘life in all its fullness’ at its heart. A vision that values educating children for wisdom, knowledge and skills, to enable hope and develop aspirations, for developing communities and living well together and educating for dignity and respect and where everyone matters to God and should be given the opportunity to develop to their full potential.

Our job is to prepare our children for life in the 21st Century with the skills, knowledge and values to thrive in a future where they will need to be hardworking, flexible, willing to give things a go, creative and imaginative. To back up these qualities, they will need to have strong communication, number and ICT skills, which they will develop through our exciting and vibrant curriculum and from being part of a community that has ‘love for life itself.’
