Homework only should be sent to:
On Wednesday 13th March, Year 3 will be going to St George’s Hall, Blackburn to take part in the Blackburn Sing Together project. The children will be working hard on lots of songs from September to March and are all very excited about taking part. More information will be coming home as it is released by the organisers and a letter explaining where to get tickets will come through the app.
Below is a link to a dropbox folder that has the words and copies of the music that your children could use to practise the songs. Any help to make sure your child knows the words would be greatly appreciated.
Monday: Spelling test
Please see the Homework Grid for weekly and termly tasks
Below is a link to Times Tables Rockstars to use for weekly practise. It is also available as an app for both Apple and Android devices.
Your child will be encouraged to read a breadth of fiction and non-fiction books. They will have the opportunity to be part of the school ‘Reading Challenge’ whereby they can choose a book from the school library each week.
Please make sure reading books are returned to school by Thursdays so they can be changed.
Your child’s reading record will show what they have been doing in Guided Reading sessions and can be used at home to make a record of any additional reading you are doing there.

Celebration of Work 2018-2019
During our first week back of 2019 we have been focusing on Health and Well-Being. We have tried Yoga and HIIT workouts in P.E, looked at exercise trends from the past (and tried some out!) in History, designed our own fitness trackers in Computing, made observational drawings of sport equipment in Art, written Healthy Lifestyle information texts in English and used our Maths skills to take our heart rate before and after exercise as well as timing each other completing exercises and measuring how far we can jump. Take a look at some of our pictures.
