We recently held our School Council elections and announced the successful School Council Representatives. All of the children had the opportunity to write and present a manifesto to their class and then vote for one boy and one girl from their class to be their representatives.

Christmas Card Competition

The winning design has also been used to send to all of the residents at the Retirement Village on Buckshaw Village to wish them all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
School Council Christmas Card Competition!
Recently we held our elections and the children were invited to take part in an election process which was similar to a real Parlimentary election. The children who stood for election wrote a manifesto and presented this to their class, the class then had to vote from one boy and one girl who they would like to be the class representative.

Fair Trade Assembly Wednesday 8th November 2017
Key Stage Two have performed an assembly this morning to introduce some issues about Fair Trade.
They were transported to Kenya with Mr Tea, who explained the process of how tea is made and some of the ways in which the farmers are struggling to grow a successful crop.
They are going to be completing a questionnaire with some children later on this week to find out more information about Fair Trade!

Fair Trade Fortnight Monday 26th Feb – Friday 9th March
As part of the Fair Trade award we shall be doing Fair Trade breaks on the following dates, Fair Trade biscuits will be sold for a minimum donation of 20 pence by class representatives.
Monday 26th Feb, Wednesday 28th Feb, Friday 2nd March
Monday 5th March, Wednesday 7th March, Friday 9th March
We raised money from our Fair Trade Breaks selling Fair Trade cookies and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported this cause.
We have now been awarded the Fair Aware Award!
