On Tuesday 11th October 2016, children from KS2 attended an Inclusion Event at Academy@Worden. They took part in wheelchair basketball, curling and indoor tennis.
The South Ribble School Sports Partnership have been developing gymnastic routines with children across KS2.
The ROTA kids work in partnership with the Chorley, Astley Rotary. They hold fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for charity.

Shirley visited Trinity with Jet the Labrador to talk to everyone in school about being safe around dogs.
On Wednesday 10th May 2017, children from Year 3 and 4 took part in the Mini Tennis Competition at the South Ribble Tennis Centre.
On Thursday 25th May, children from Year 5 & 6 represenedt our school against local schools in the Years 5/6 Central Venue Tag Rugby League at Leyland Warriors RLFC.
This year’s theme was ‘A Night at the Movies.’ The art club had created a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ mask which will be displayed at the Leyland Gala. This was presented to The Sports Partnership Team.
All staff and children from Reception to Year 6 have been practising their moves. They were joined by Boogie Storm from last year’s Britain’s Got Talent as they danced to a medley of tunes from famous films.
This year’s competition was won by Johnson House (Green). Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the 2017 Sports Day on Monday 26th June.
Having won the South Ribble Gymnastic Competition, Trinity’s Year 4 team represented the borough at the Lancashire School Games on 4th July at Blackpool. The Lancashire School Games involved nearly 200 children from across Lancashire, taking part in different sporting activities.
We are very proud of our gymnasts as they finished 3rd in the competition! They enjoyed collecting their medals at the closing ceremony.
Well done to all the children from KS1 and KS2 who belong to Armstrong House. They won Trinity’s inaugural house points challenge after some very competitive weeks.

As part of our work to promote high standards of spelling throughout the school, we will be holding our first ever Spelling Bee Final from the 20th -24th March 2017. We feel that this will be a motivating and fun way to celebrate the learning achievements of all the children.

On Tuesday 21st March, the 3 weeks of Netball competition came to an end. The children have loved getting to play against so many other schools and they represented Trinity in an outstanding manner with great displays of sportsmanship. Well done to everyone on the team and a special congratulations to Anya Powell, our only scorer during the tournament.
